Physically, it could make the main carer of the child(s) start to age because of lack of rest especially in the early stages when the child is dependant. Also it could affect parents intellectually because it could motivate people to do things such as lose weight if they are obese or even make a parent go back to school to pursue or take their education further. Socially, parenthood has a negative effect on people’s life, because this means parents are unable to socialise with friends and prevents parents from going out to meet new friends. Although, there are groups that parents can go to, to socialise with other parents. Through this they develop new friends and could even learn new skills or techniques. Although some people can’t cope with these responsibilities and become stressed, this may lead to unpredictable things such as becoming redundant.
